Honesty

What made us so close so fast? It was because there was absolute honest from the very beginning. The first day I went to her house, she told me about being a teacher and about loving her students, and about living before them and dealing with the pain and fear of having cancer in a Christian way. She didn't want to just "put on a happy face", but rather to be honest and share her pain and sorrow and fear. Cancer hurts and it is scary, but it is how we deal with our trials that will allow us to "let our light shine."
