Life's Biggest Problems

I was paying the cashier at the grocery store for my groceries. Their pen had run dry, so I went in my purse and got my own. As I was unzipping my purse, the guy behind me said sarcastically, "It's a good thing I'm not in a hurry or anything!" Was spending 10 seconds longer in the grocery store really that guy's biggest problem of the day? I thought I was beginning to figure it out, this thing we call life. As adults, we see sickness and suffering all around us, and we realize wer'e all in this together. Wer'e all in the same boat, and we need each other, even if it's just to be able to go to the store and buy food for our families.

On a happier note, I get to borrow a kid for a few days!! My teenage nephew is coming to our side of the country for a little vacation. D's a good kid, and I'm really looking forward to finding fun things for us to do.

How rude. I'd have been tempted to sass him.

He travels to your parts, too?? Yeah, I had a few good barbs ready in my holster, but I chose to put my energy into finding a pen.
