Thoughts From The West Coast

I have been seeing The Bible coming under attack. True faith in the gospel of Jesus is coming under attack. We Christians are called to guard, or defend, the good deposit that has been entrusted to us, that is, the gospel, with the help of the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 1:14.) Both 1 Corinthians 10:12 and Galatians 6:1 warn us of overconfidence, and assure us that we need God's help to "extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one." (Ephesians 6:16.) Satan surely has his devices to undermine our faith, but the One who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:4.) We must ask for the Holy Spirit's help daily in our battle against the lies and temptations of this world.
