__________ In.

A fellow blogger is attempting to add a new word to the Urban Dictionary. Fine. But what I need is a word that means "snowed in", but not by snow, by HEAT. Sunned in?? I find myself without a car-which is good, because my car is being put to a much more noble use than just sitting in my driveway in case I should get the sudden urge to head to greener pastures. I thought this would be easy, since I often go many days at a time without using my car. However, just knowing that I have no choice but to stay home makes me feel so . . . so . . . ugh . . .TRAPPED. Of course, there is always walking. However, as the temperatures have been mostly in the lower billions, that hardly seems a viable choice. So I am _______ in. What's a good descriptive word for that, fellow geeks, brains, bibliophiles, bibliomaniacs, and sesquipedalians?

Hmmm. Well, when you're snowed-in you are stuck, like, the door won't open because the snow barricades the door. I think you lightweights out in the west just choose to be stuck in your car. You CAN get out. So I would suggest"

Staying-in

But if I weren't teasing you (with a bit of sour grapes) I'd suggest:

Smothered-in

The blogger Jenn is speaking of is me. But Jenn must be too ashamed of me to divulge the blogger's identity.

I don't blame her.

GlobalWarmingIn.

Ha! Yes, I guess us lightweights here in the west (and you were once one of us, Teri) do get globalwarminged in.

After some thought, Mr. Cho, I have decided that I am rather miffed at you for PRESUMING that I was referring to you. You are not my only friend who makes up words and uses a computer. I'm not saying that I WASN'T referring to you, just that you shouldn't presume--just like I shouldn't presume your'e telling the truth when you sing the praises of a Latina bombshell in Sacramento. Yes, I'm still bitter about that.

Believe it or not, I am in Sacramento right now.

Going back to the original question, how about backed in?

David Cho dijo...

I believe she has officially endorsed mine. She's already used it in one of her comments, which means it is now in her vocabulary.

She is globalwarminged-In.

Ebeth, I believe you meant to say "baked-in."

That is actually pretty good. It is baking out there, so you are "baked-in."

Jenn, you should take off word verification. I took it off more than a year ago, and got spammed only once.
