Totally "T'ed O." about BFF "grammar."
I explained "T'ed O." in a previous post. I will now move on to my next perturbing and perplexing pet peeve, the BFF. Best Friend Forever. My complaint is that the grammatically unaware and ignorant masses pluralize that by saying "BFFs." Have you ever heard anyone talking about their "Best Friend Forevers"? I propose the pluralization be changed to "BFsF", as in, "My three BFsF and I went to the mall Saturday." These texting abbreviations drive my generally grammatically correct mind mad. The disturbing trend drives me to drink. I'm going to Starbucks.

OK, if you really want to be technical, those words are already made into past tense before the abbreviation. So if you want to be a stickler about it you have to say, "I'm really T.O." and "We will BFF".
OR
You could allow for the evolution of language, without which we wouldn't have Shakespeare and our poetry would be Alliterative Meter in deep, Germanic, guttural tones. ; ) (haha, you know I think we're DEvolving...)
OR
You could be even more particular about it reject abbreviations all together.
So you have some options...
make that "We will be BBF".
Better By Far? Beyond Being Foolish?
Best Friends Forever
Grammar shrammer! It's 11:30 and I'm going to bed.
I share a birthday with Fyodor Dostoyevsky, so that gives me poetic license.
AND, sharing a birthday with Henry Winkler ("The Fonz") gives me licence to give the thumbs up, and say, "EEEEeeehhhh" any time I want.
Get a latte. :)
