Twitchy
Nervous, restless, discombobulated-those all describe me when I'm not absorbed in some good book. I found myself in this unpleasant predicament recently, and contemplated at some length my literary needs. I immediately (after my long contemplation, rumination, and meditation) ran to my computer to order the first book in a popular mystery series set in Africa. These books were recommended to me by one who is well acquainted with my literary tastes. I also ordered three Sherlock Holmes books, and Martin Chuzzlewit by Charles Dickens. As it is ridiculously hot and dry now, I figured the books set in Africa will be perfect summer reading. It always seems to be gray and dreary out whenever Sherlock Holmes sets out on an adventure, so that I will save for the winter months. Any book by Charles Dickens transcends weather and is perfect for any season, so that I will leave TBD-to be determined.
