Normal

Normal is a funny word; very subjective. Growing up, I thought it was normal for a child and parent to fight and argue and hurl insults (among other things) at each other. Just 20 years later, I would consider that behavior not only abnormal, but completely unacceptable. Statistics show that patterns of abuse and/or dysfunction tend to be passed down from one generation to the next, but this certainly doesn't have to be the case . . . and thank God. Sometimes, it is only God who can break the cycle. Titus 3:3 says that we were once foolish and disobedient, but the chapter goes on to say that when God saved us, all of that changed. He came into our lives and changed everything. 2 Corinthians 5:17 assures us that God changes everything-starting with us!
