God's kingdom on earth

The church. Separate, holy, chosen. I've begun reading the episittles to the early churches to learn how I, as a chosen member of God's ordained church, one who was chosen from eternity past, am to relate to other members of God's chosen and eternal church. I also want to learn how to relate in a loving, dignified, compassionate, God-honoring manner toward all men. The first thing I'm examining is prayer on behalf of others, especially for fellow Christians, praying always that we all will mature in the faith and in the knowledge of our God. For those who doubt, Jude says to show compassion and mercy, praying that all men would come into the marvellous and beneficial knowledge of God, and that all would be saved and be welcomed into the glorious afterlife He has prepared for those who love Him.
So, for all my fellow believers, know that I am praying on your behalf to our great God. For those of you who doubt, know also that I am praying on your behalf to my great God.

Jen,

I think your desire is a great one and the kind that God will certainly bless. I wish more would adopt it for themselves.

The down-side of what you seek is that there will be people who will take for granted your intentions. So be it. Don't let it dissuade you for a moment. Sometimes, in order to be used, you have to be used.

And I thank you for your prayers and I hope you know it is reciprocated.

Take care,

Mike

Jen,

(I started one comment, thought to fix it, deleted it, but forgot to copy it first. Sigh. Here we go again!)
Amazing to me that God, Creator of the Universe and of us within it, would care to communicate with us by listening to our prayer (intervening for unbelievers' salvation foremost, and for any number of things for believers) and talking to us through His word...
Amazing that He'd want to teach us through His word...You'd think He was trying to make us fit for heaven, that He wanted us to be there with Him...and He does!
It boggles my mind.
I'm thankful He's teaching you and these things are working in your life.

It is also toadally overwhelming to me that the great God and creator of all things great and small actually wants to commune with us. What an amazing priviledge we have. The thought just stops me in my tracks as I go along with the mundane tasks of the day.

Mankind are in desperate need of a new heart. Some think that Jesus will return to re-educate the world, it is a LIE, it needs to be taken care of before he returns(Luke 21:25-38) and it’s not figurative either. Jesus said that no one can enter or see the spiritual kingdom unless they are born from above(John 3:5-8). If we want the kingdom to come then people are gonna have to turn around and make the right choice, that’s why the world is still corrupted, they traded the truth for a lie. Here’s a prayer for humanity

May God lead us from death to life,

from falsehood to truth.

May God lead us from despair to hope,

from fear to trust.

May God lead us from hate to love,

from war to peace.

May peace fill our hearts, our world,

and our universe.
