X-ing a sandwich
Our friend Alex was coming over to practice guitar with Mr. M. So Mr. M and I decided to go out for sandwiches before he came over. Unbeknownst to me, the plan was to buy a sandwich for Alex. Mr. M and I ate our sandwiches, and put all the leftover trash in a bag after we were done. He handed me a bag, with instructions to "take care of this." Keep in mind that I didn't know we had ordered a sandwich for Alex. I thought he had handed me the bag of trash. So to anyone (including me) who's ever seen a mafia movie, "to take care of someone" means to rub them out, X them, turn them into fish food, nix them-basically to kill or get rid of them. So how could Mr. M not realize that I was doing just what he asked me to when I threw away Alex's sandwich?

The part missing from the story is that a very hungry Alex and Mr. M, went back to trash can about 30 minutes later to retrieve the sandwich. Unfortunately about 100 ants had begun what must have been a very huge feast for them! But because of Alex's great hunger, he chased away as many ants he could, and then ate the rest along with the sandwich.
Who are you, and how did you know that? Freaky!!

It reminds me of when Katie had just recently received her first retainer. Guess why I said first? Well, she did that same thing with it, at McDonalds (sorry, not quite as elegant as yours might have been). We went back and examined all the trash in that area, and thought we did so thoroughly. Didn't see any ants wearing it...didn't find it at all.
I lost my retainer so many times, and went through so much trash-once at McDonalds! I hated having to ask if I could go through the trash.
