I love and appreciate all my friends, but there is a special place in my heart for those supportive friends who push me out of my comfort zone and into the unknown; those friends who believe that I'll fly if I'm pushed. I have to reference my friend, Wendy, here, because she encouraged me to take it to the next level with my blog. She even suggested I could make some--GASP!--changes. I also must make mention of my friend studying the dancing lemurs in Madagascar. She encouraged me not to limit myself to my blog, but to also submit some of my writing to a local publication. What's been the riskiest and/or most rewarding new venture a friend has encouraged you to do?
Wendy and I created a supportive and encouraging blogging community called BlahGirls, and this question was posed: "You have a blog, so you obviously think you are a decent writer, and that you have thoughts worth sharing. So you want your friends to read your blog. BUT, you don't want to become an annoying person who goes around saying, in effect, 'I'm rad! Read my blog!' So where and how do you draw the line?
