Friendship Stories #12 Friend, Mentor, or Both?

When I was a blushing new bride in a new town with no friends, I was blessed to meet another lady who was married, and who was also new to town, and lived just a block from me. It was so good to be able to spend time with her and to see her live out her role as a Godly wife and mother. She taught me much, and one of those things is that she taught me I could be funny and spontaneous AND Godly. That seems to be a rare combination. She and I were friends, and we had tons of fun together. We laughed about things and cried over things, and she shared her life with me, and I did the same. She taught me things, too, like how to be a good, fun, Godly wife, and how to be that kind of mother if God should ever bless me with a child. She was the one who took me to all of my doctor's appointments, and she comforted me when I was so fearful after I had been diagnosed with a neurological disease. Although I have learned much from her, and continue learning, I have always considered her primarily a friend. Is there someone who has shaped and influenced your life?

Thank you. Someone else said that, so I wonder if it is a good idea to include different series. I was also thinking of asking my readers what they would like me to write about. What do you think?

I think other things interspersed is fine. I like that you've numbered the Friendship stories. And, I think you write what you want, when you want! JMHO, of course.
