Waiting for Walking Weather.

It is still hot. Hot, hot, hot. I'm so bummed that I don't get to lace up my neon walking shoes for a while. The days are miserable, so walking is out of the question. The evenings are so filled with social pleasantries (not obligations), that they're a no-go, too. I suppose I could set the alarm early and go, but that's not going to happen. I like to be at home and relaxing in the early hours of the day. It is the middle of the day now. I go on my front porch to check the temperature to see if walking is a possibility. Not today; it's over 100. Disappointed, I go check the back patio to see if the weather's any different over there. Nope; still hot. So what to do? I'm already caught up on the laundry. I did a lengthy workout this morning. I read a chapter of Deuteronomy. I put a cage around a tree in the back yard so Rufus will leave the poor little bird alone; he thinks it's a toy. I have to balance encouraging Rufus to go outside using his new doggie door, while not bothering that bird while he's out there. Why can't animals make peace treaties? I'm mediating the best I can. Mr.M and I are going to an outdoor movie tonight, so I look forward to a peaceful evening.
