City Life: Between Two Extremes

I love the city. I embrace my inner valley girl. I enjoy all the diversity in the city, all the differing opinions. Much of what I see and hear is somewhat discouraging, but I've never wanted to flee to the mountains, nor to any other desolate and faraway place like Nebraska. I have gone for morning walks with a friend who's enamored with cats and can't get enough of them, and then turned around and had lunch with a friend who would single handedly kill all the cats of the world if she could. I love both of these women, and I enjoy hearing them both speak passionately about their feelings. I like the challenge of being able to get along with people on either side of the great cat debate. Where do I stand on the issue? I plead the Fifth.
