Sweeping the Floor of my Heart

We Christians are to live worthy of the calling we've received. What exactly does that mean? I don't know. But I think I have a pretty good idea of what it doesn't mean. I was watching Hoarders this week, and the show featured a couple living in one of the cutest Victorian houses I've ever seen. It was tall and skinny, set on a steep hill, a huge staircase leading to a sweet little front porch with columns, all painted pink and green. It was the kind of house dreams are made of. Inside the house, though, was another story. Junk and more junk everywhere. It was a mess. Such a cute house deserved to be cleaned and loved and taken care of. God has called us into His light, to live as His children. Are we living up to that calling, or are we letting the junk of this world invade our lives and take over? Do you need to de-clutter your heart?
