Slow Day, Beautiful Day
Our California weather is back! I don't fear that my brain is going to freeze when I go out for a walk anymore. I have all the windows open, and enjoy the cool breeze, the sunshine streaming in, and the windchimes chiming their happy tune. If there is one thing the week or so of ridiculously cold weather taught me, it is to seize the day. Actually, what really taught me that is the proverb that says that it is foolish to put something off because "there might be a lion in the street", and the proverb that says not to glory in tomorrow since you never know what tomorrow may bring (Pro. 27:1) and the passages in James 1 and Matt. 6 about time and about how uncertain the future is . . . for us. So in the spirit of applying those lessons on time, I went for a long walk to Starbucks and then went next door to buy a card for a dear relative, and then took the long way home. Tonight we will go to the campus Bible study, trusting God that there won't be a lion in the street.

I'm in California, too! Hasn't it been so cold? It was sill too cold to work outside here today. I'm hoping tomorrow will be better.
I think it is supposed to continue to warm up.
Jealous of your weather! It has done nothing but rain here all week.
I get envious hearing about the cool thunderstorms in Africa!
