An Old Way of Thinking

Many, many years ago, I was in a conversation with my cousin, and I gave my thoughts on the matter at hand, and my cousin angrily said to me, "You only think that because that's how your mom taught you to think!" Well, yeah. That was exactly how my mom taught me to think. I guess that makes me unoriginal. I'm OK with that. My mom taught me to think the same way her mom taught her to think, which meant thinking Biblically. That gives me something in common with the young pastor and Biblical author, Timothy. Timothy was also taught to think Biblically by his mother and grandmother. (2 Tim. 1:5.) I am proud and thankful to take my place in the line of faithful men and women who have thought and lived according to the Bible throughout the ages. I embrace my old and unoriginal faith in Jesus Christ. I reject new and trendy ways of thinking in favor of the Biblical way, God's way.
