Life is Hard for Everyone

I was reminded last night that everyone has troubles in their life. I was remembering a night a few years ago, when my friend, who then had cancer, and her husband came over for dinner. She asked Mr.M how he dealt with my having Spinocerebellar Ataxia (SCA 8). She wanted to know how he felt about it, and his thoughts about being married to someone with a rare disease. Mr.M calmly and non-chalantly replied that every one of our friends has something-some thing-this is just our thing that we have to live with. Some of our friends struggle and cry over infertility, some have financial worries, there are troubles at work, and troubles at home. Some friends have rebellious teenagers that cause them pain, some struggle because they are single. The point is that everyone has something; so if you think you are the only one with problems, you aren't. When you share your struggles and hurts, you'll be amazed at the people who struggle with the same things. This is a blessing of being in the family of God-we share each other's burdens and help each other through them and give each other the hope to see past the problems to our glorious future and our good God.
