Comfort in History

I was struck this past weekend by the blessings of believing in one, cohesive, definitive, divine source of truth. It gives me great strength and encouragement to know that people living in ancient civilizations, and also people living right now, have both looked to the Bible and to the God of the Bible for truth. Truth seekers living thousands of years ago and truth seekers living today both look to the Bible to learn about God our Creator and Savior. This historicity and longevity of Christianity is a great source of comfort and joy to my soul.
