Thoughtful ReGifting

You've seen signs at parks that say, "Leave only footprints, take only pictures." That's how I see Christmas. I give away (recycle or regift) the token gifts we are given at the earliest opportunity. By token gifts, I mean the obligatory, corporate gifts from people who have never seen or talked to you. If I didn't have this practice, my house could be on Hoarding: Buried Alive. Goodwill is my best friend during the holidays. We are so spoiled in America, so overloaded and burdened with things we don't want or need. I don't need anything more in my house, and I don't have room for anything more, anyway. I do enjoy the challenge, though, of thoughtful regifting. It's like a game.

I love remembering people with gifts at Christmas, but money is too tight to give to everyone I love, so I definitely re-gift when the opportunity arises!

It only makes cents.
