Content to Stay

I've been thinking about missionaries serving God in other countries.  I've been seeing and hearing about the great needs abroad, and the need for people to faithfully live and preach the true Gospel of Christ.  I see that same need here.  Paul urged Timothy in the first few verses of the first chapter of First Timothy to stay there in Ephesus to prevent false teachers from teaching a false gospel.  There are so many unbiblical ideologies all around us that we need faithful Christians to stay here and live and preach the true Gospel.  As long as strange doctrines and false gospel teaching abound, faithful Christians who live and preach the true Gospel must abound even more to fight against those wrong teachings.  We must fight against these wrong teachings not only with words, preaching the one true Gospel, but we must fight also with prayer, knowing that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil.  (Ephesians 6.)  Thank God for Christian missionaries teaching the Gospel in all parts of the earth, but let those of us who stay in America also be faithful to proclaim the Gospel and live in obedience to it.
