I was recalling last night a funny miscommunication at a time when I was particularly vulnerable. It was the day before I was to have a spinal tap, and I was a bit nervous. I was working in the library alongside my good friend Kristin. I asked timidly between the shelves, “Have you ever had a spinal tap?” Kristin said, laughing, “No, but I heard that it’s really funny.” Pausing, brows furrowed, I said, “Not the movie—the medical test!!” (She hadn’t had one.) Several days later, Kristin asked me how the test was. “It was so funny!!!”

Oh, I'm sorry you had to have one of those hateful things. My darlingdearbabygirlygirl had it done twice when she was ill at 5 weeks old. She popped her bellybutton out with her screaming. Sad but true. I was devastated.
The movie, however, even the thought of some of those lines really is worth a brand new laugh.
May you laugh...
...speaking of laughing, didn't we discuss Brian Regan on this blog once? I just heard he has a new DVD (or is it CD?) coming out!
Take luck,

Your'e so funny, neetm. Everyone who reads my blog thinks neetm is SO FUNNY AND SMART. I know she is.
I had one of those when I was a preteen because they were afraid I had a brain tumor. I have only the fuzziest recollection of laughing at my reflection in a glass before falling asleep for the procedure. I think I had a difficult time sitting for a few days after, but that is what my parents remember, not me myself--or I.
ooo, I blush!
Thanks.
