Over-Buyers Anonymous and Running Away
More like walking away, actually. I did decide to leave my funky running shoes at home, but upon arriving at our destination, I realized that I would be needing to go on frequent walks to relieve stress and also to relieve my waistline from all the heavy meals we'd be eating. So, I had to buy another pair of running shoes. Fortunately for my feet, we happened upon a specialty running store where the saleslady studied my gait and looked at the wear pattern on the shoes I was wearing, and she recommended some shoes for me. My new shoes are funky in their own, scientific way. The sole for the big toe is separate from the sole of the other toes. This funkiness is based on a lot of scientific and anatomical research showing that allowing the big toe to move independantly from the other toes is the best way to run (and walk.) In addition to my Over-Inviters Anonymous meetings, I will also be attending Over-Buyers Anonymous meetings. You may wonder why shoes have such a pull for me; it is because they hold so much potential. With the right shoes and motivation, I could walk a marathon or a half-marathon or a 5K. Or, I could just walk down to Starbucks, which is far more likely.

Jennifer, you'll soon have to add over over-meeting meetings to your list! Enjoy Starbucks! ;)
