Knowing God's Will

With Christmas approaching and all the accompanying craziness, friendship seems to take a month-long hiatus. It is an excellent time, then, to focus on the one friend who alone can save us from our sins and give us eternal hope. We all must cultivate a friendship with Jesus. In order to be friends with Him, we must be reading the Bible consistently. He tells us in John 15:14 that the Bible reveals to us God's will, and it is by doing God's will that we become His friends. It is imperative that we take time to dig into His word and study it so that we can know and do His will. (A side benefit of doing God's will is that it almost always makes our lives easier and better-making wise decisions, loving people and not getting easily offended, thinking true thoughts and not living according to assumptions . . . ) Take time this December to renew your friendship with Jesus.
