To Whom Am I Obligated?

This will be the question I live by this year. The answer will determine my actions. First, I am obligated to God. He has given us everything in Christ. Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all. Secondly, I am obligated to Mr. M. I voluntarily put myself under this obligation over 16 years ago. Along with Mr. M, I am also obligated to extended family, both his and mine, for the one who doesn't provide for his family is worse than an unbeliever. (James, chapter 1.) Third, I am obligated to the entire body of Christ. Every Christian falls into this group, but we are called specifically to support missionaries, and to suffer with those who suffer and bear their burdens, and also to be faithful to those we call our friends, just as David counted it a sin to neglect to pray for his friend Jonathan. As Christians, we are also called to love our neighbors, those who live near us. I will keep these obligations in the front of my mind as I dole out my time this year.
