Good Winter Reading

I have a few weeks before my life becomes utterly chaotic and out of control. I am trying to make the most of these few weeks, seeing friends, spending time with Mr.M, and reading some good books. After War And Peace, I started reading Para Selena, Con Amor. It is the falling in love story of Chris Perez and Selena Quintanilla, and the story of the years of their life together. It is interesting. Reading it in Spanish makes it more interesting. Selena was the talk of all media when Mr.M and I were engaged, so I have always had a special place in my heart for her. Also, I listened constantly to her music as I drove around the valley in my big, yellow Caravan-which was missing the hood ornament because I stole it from my grandma before she gave me the van for graduation. Hm . . . I inherited stolen goods, but I was the one who stole them. Interesting . . .

Anyway, I also started reading the falling in love story of Ree Drummond, Pioneer Woman. That book is a super fast and fun read. And it makes me want to go live on a ranch.
