Portland With Persnicketta

I think it's obvious to anyone who reads my blog that Persnicketta has become a good friend. That is the main reason I wanted to go on this road trip with her. I don't know when, or even if, she'll be coming back, and I couldn't imagine just saying, "bye" to her not knowing if we'd ever live in the same town again. Going on the trip didn't change that (I still don't know if or when she'll be back), but now her memory of driving out of L.A. is one filled with talking and laughing and singing and not just a memory of a long, lonely drive by herself. All I can do now is pray and wait, for, "she'll be comin' 'round the mountain (or down the 5) when she comes."
