Objective Faith

Last night at Bible Study, we were discussing salvation, and how we know that we are saved. Saving faith is objective. I know I am saved, that I have been reconciled with God, because I have believed that God sent Jesus to earth to live a perfect life and to die in my stead. That is how salvation is accomplished. I believe this, and that is how I know I am saved. God has declared me not guilty because Jesus took the punishment for my guilt. These are the facts. I believe and am saved. I don't always feel saved. It sometimes seems like my prayers bounce off the ceiling and go unheard. At times like this, I need to remember the facts and the objectivity of my faith and salvation.
