Good Friday and Cultural Christianity

The Good Friday service is one of my favorite times to go to church. Why? Because it is a celebration of Christianity . . . of Christ and what He accomplished for humanity on the cross. Many, many people will go to church this Sunday. Few will go tonight. Good Friday will be celebrated by those whose lives have been completely transformed by Christ on the cross. Easter will be celebrated by many, even some who have no clear idea of what it is that they're celebrating. For some, Easter is only about chocolate and eggs and bunnies; but for those who know Christ and cling to His cross for salvation, Easter is about God and His sacrificial love for us shown by sending His own Son to the cross. May you be among those who know and celebrate the good news of Christ.
