Time and Talents

In Ephesians 5:17, Paul reminds us to know God's will for our lives so that we will be able to use our time wisely.  In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul tells us that God has given us all gifts to serve the church.  It is God's will that we use these gifts He's given us to His glory.  There is a direct correlation between knowing our gifts and using them, and wasting our time.  It is imperative that we identify those things we are good at-our gifts-so that we don't waste time doing things we're not so good at.  In the long run, it is a waste of time to put a lot of time and effort into something that someone else can do better than we can.  It is a much better use of our time to stick to those things we do well.  Knowing your gifts is an excellent place to start when it comes to deciding on the best use of your time.
