My friend, a new one, just left my house. She and her two daughters came for lunch. We shared our Christian testimonies over fresh fruit and yogurt. I've seen her only briefly at church, but when I was out walking this morning, we unexpectedly ran into each other, and we made spontaneous lunch plans. This is one of those days, like so many before it, where I am so glad to have the freedom and ability to invite someone over. I delight in the ability to stay home and to entertain and share my time, home and heart with others. I've had people react with pity when I tell them I don't work, but on days like today, I am so glad for the privilege of staying home.
