Reading Recommendations

While on vacation, I surprised myself by being completely enthralled with The Revenant by Michael Punke.  It is about a fur trapper, and I was absolutely riveted from the first sentence.  I finished that, and read The Good Husband of Zebra Drive by Alexander McCall Smith.  It is just one book in his series, The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency.  This book was delicious, so calming and peaceful.  I find a lot of good and wise life advice in his fiction.  The series centers on a woman who places a high value on the virtues of goodness and kindness, virtues that seem to be becoming extinct.  Now that I am home, I get to resume reading The Life Giving Home, along with a book about the Oregon Bigfoot Highway outside of Portland.
