California Culture

I ordered several books of true stories set in the South.  I've read one excellent, funny and heartwarming collection in the past.  A Little Salty to Cut the Sweet by Sophie Hudson is a collection of Southern stories of faith and family."  The book made part of me wish I had grown up in the South.  I scoured Amazon and found no books of stories of faith and family in California.  I guess that's another reason for the existence of my blog.  I do have a culture and a family and a faith, and so do my friends-and it goes deeper than the "valley girls" on TV.  I've always heard that you should write the book (or story) that you'd want to read, so that is a goal that I keep in mind.
