Second part of Today

I don't usually write two posts in the same day, but I just had to share how good this book is. I'm only a couple of chapters in, but I am hooked . . . actually, I am torn; it's so good that I want to just read it all in one sitting, but I also want to put it down and just savor its goodness. The author writes about our romanticized view of friendship, and how we get disappointed and bitter when our real friendships never live up to the ideal in our heads. She says that we will only find true and biblical friendship when we "embrace the imperfect women [and dogs] right in front of us." (I added the part about dogs. The author doesn't talk about dogs at all-but don't let that keep you from reading this book!)
