Living the Story
As I often do, I was browsing Amazon for interesting books. I was especially interested in Book Girl by Sarah Clarkson. I like that she appreciates all that she can learn from other peoples' stories; personally, though, I would rather LIVE the story. I want to BE the main character, not just read about the main character. I think I am living a story, a story that involves a difficult relative, some amazing friends, a wonderful husband, a bedroom remodel, and some pretty radical plans for an adoption. I know God is the author of my story, but I am a key character, and my actions will affect the outcome of my story.
So, while I do not in any way discourage listening to, and learning from, others' stories, I definitely want to take bold and unexpected steps of faith to give me a great story to share with friends and family . . . a story that may be told for generations.
