Every Christian a Missionary

I'm reading about the role of Christian women in the early 1800s. Many missionaries were sent out at that time, and it was discovered that the greatest missionary impact-the greatest Christian witness to people in foreign countries-was to simply have a Christian family living in the neighborhood, husband and wife loving each other and raising their children Biblically. This is still true, not only for foreign missions, but for Christian witness right here in los estados unidos. Do I know my neighbors? Do they know I am a Christian? Do I love them? Am I hospitable and available? It is my firm belief that every Christian is a missionary-whether it's in another country or a suburb of L.A.
