The IT Girl
It was such a relief to finally meet her! There she was, a ubiquitous presence in my life, yet I didn't know her name. I'd seen her around church-natch-but it was so much more than that; it seemed like she was at every social event I was at. We knew all the same people, but somehow we'd never managed to meet each other: until, that is, we did. We met each other at a small bridal shower. We immediately began talking at the speed of light, and we amazed each other with our similarities. Ironically, it was our similarities that had kept us apart for so long. I can't be certain, but it is my belief that no one could have thought that we didn't know each other, and that is why no one introduced us. It is also possible that because of our similarities, people may have thought we were the same person, but that is pure speculation. The IT Girl and I especially bonded over 3 people: 1. Persnicketta. We agreed that because of her exceptionally wide range of interests, Persnicketta is the most fascinating person we know. 2. A dear friend and a wonderful Godly woman who died last year. 3. Christopher Guest, a comedian and the writer of some fabulously funny and off-beat mockumentaries. I'm so glad to have met that girl I've seen so often, and to know my twin in entertainment taste.
