Heart of Stone, Heart of Flesh

Driving home from a visit with my friend in the desert the other day, I couldn't stop smiling and thanking God for the good life she has . . . a loving husband, a beautiful home, a stable job that she enjoys . . . I couldn't have been happier for her. I was truly and purely rejoicing with and for my friend. (Romans 12:15.) That is not too common these days. There is a lot of jealousy and bitterness in the world, and not too much good will. This doesn't have to be so. In Ezekiel 36:26, God says that He can and will remove our hearts of stone and give us hearts of flesh if we would but ask. Has God softened your heart? How does that manifest itself in your life?
