Eggplant Ear

When it rains it pours.  Or, to put it positively, when it rains, it pours.  Any precipitation would be more than welcome in California right now.  We are parched.  To get to my point, though, I speak of Persnicketta and her brother, Superman.  Persnicketta came to visit me last night and to let me know that she has a confidential mission that will take her away-to who knows where- for many months.  As I was under the weather when she came to deliver this news, I made her sit in the middle of the room, Indian-style.  After she left, I felt even crummier.  My ear was starting to itch.  And then it turned purple.  When I woke up, there was a vibrant green leaf growing right out of my ear.  I had seen this same thing recently in Mr. M.  I went to urgent care right away.  My suspicions were confirmed; I had eggplant Ear . . . in both ears.  The doctor said I was one of the easiest cases she'd ever diagnosed, since my problem was so obvious.  I got my prescription and hurried home to slow down and rest.  I called Persnicketta right away as she had been exposed-although briefly, and by a long distance.  She doesn't suffer from Eggplant Ear, but she does suffer from some oddity that has symptoms that resemble Eggplant Ear.  I felt it urgent to let her know that if she felt any symptoms of Eggplant Ear, she may want to see a doctor, as it might be just that.  Before Mr. M left for work, he kindly asked me if I wanted anything.  I told him that a frozen coffee drink would be great.  He went to get me my drink, and he saw Superman, who works at the popular frozen coffee drink place.  They exchanged pleasantries.  Now to drink my drink and rest my Eggplant Ear.
