Sick as a Dog, Lucky as a Leprechaun

Life is a whirlwind right now.  Some major happenings are happening in our immediate and our extended family.  We don't know what tomorrow will bring-we never do-the uncertainty is just more of a certainty.  However, as Christians, Mr. M and I have the certainty of God's promise to never leave or forsake us.  We have His promise of comfort, and we are well aware that this comfort often comes in the form of other people, both from our brothers and sisters in Christ, and from caring unbelievers who've been given the gift of common grace and have shown great love and kindness.  We do not take these things lightly.  We are ever so thankful for God's common grace that has been given to unbelievers, allowing them to show kindness and generosity to us.  Being grateful for the body of believers is nothing new to us.  We are daily grateful for those who share in our sufferings by praying for us and by giving us insight and advice.  Despite the title of this post, (I'm just a sucker for alliteration), we know it is by grace alone that we share in the good gifts of God.
